TEN FACTS ON EDWARD MUYBRIDGE
1. Edward Muybridge was born on the 9th of april 1830.
2. He was a british photographer who spend most of his time working in california and other part of US.
3. Muggeridge emigrated to the United States at the age of 25, arriving in San Francisco in 1855, a few years after California became a state.
4. His father John and mother Susan had three other boy children.
5. Due in 1860 he became a successful antique bookseller but he left the business in care of his brother and he went to San Francisco.
6. As a adult he changed his name several times starting with muggridge in the Unite States.
7. He murdered his young wife friend known as Major Harry Larkyns because he thought he might have fathered his seven month old son.
8. Between 1883 and 1886, Muybridge made more than 100,000 images, working obsessively in Philadelphia under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania.
9. He is most known for his “Horse Gait”.
10. He died on 8 May 1904 in Kingston upon Thames while staying at the home of his cousin Catherine Smith.
